Carolina researchers are in the frontlines in the fight against cancer with recent genetic discoveries and cancer disparity findings. Researchers from Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health have helped produce a report on the disparity of cancer rates among races, and have also teamed up with Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center to enable further research of cell mutations by identifying 176 genes linked to cancer.
